BRENTWOOD, Tenn., March 2, 2009—Brentwood Reinsurance Intermediaries Inc.(BRII) recently has
named Al Rusnak, based in the Jacksonville, Fla. area, to the position of director of marketing for life and
health reinsurance, according to Keith Fawcett, BRII president.

“Al joins BRII in order to expand the current reinsurance products into the life and health field. To
this point, BRII has been focused on property and casualty reinsurance, particularly in the workers’
compensation fields,” comments Fawcett. “Al has extensive experience in the accident and health field and
will be a great asset to our organization by assisting with the growth of our current clients as well as opening
up a new sector of business for our company.”

In his new position, Rusnak’s primary responsibility will be developing a client base of life and health
reinsurance clients nationwide and providing an avenue for existing clients to access a broader range of
reinsurance markets.

Rusnak has over 28 years of experience in the accident and health reinsurance market. His focus
areas are managing general underwriters, group life, disability, accidental death, and a wide range of both
group and individual accident and health products. His specialty is advising clients on growth, products and
diversification strategies, as well as enterprise risk management.

Rusnak attended Northwestern University and Ohio State University, where he received his bachelor
of science in business administration, as well as juris doctorate degree. After practicing law for nine years, he
joined E.W. Blanch Co., headquartered in Minneapolis, Minn. Following that position, he spent 12 years with
Aon Re, based in Jacksonville, Fla., where his clients have included self-funded medical managing general
underwriters (MGUs), carriers, health insurers and life insurance companies.
